Privacy policy
The website gcalebstudio.com is run by Caleb Lee, Geneva, Switzerland. I am responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach me at gcaleb.studio@pm.me.
Information you give me. If you use the contact or booking form, or email me, I receive your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and whatever you tell me about your project, such as dates, location and budget.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, basic technical data may be collected, such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location. This comes from my web host and, if I use it, an analytics tool ([e.g. Plausible / Google Analytics]).
Cookies. The site uses [only essential cookies / essential and analytics cookies]. Where required, I ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time via [cookie banner / browser settings].
Photos and videos of people. If you are a client or appear in my work, I handle the images and footage I create of you. See section 5.
How I use your information

To plan, deliver and invoice photo and video services
To keep the website secure and working properly
To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so I can improve it
To meet legal and accounting obligations
I do not sell your personal data, and I do not use it for automated decision-making.
4. Who I share it with
I only share data with trusted providers needed to run my business, and only as much as necessary:
Website hosting and domain providers ([squarespace])
Email and form services ([squarespace])
Online gallery or file-delivery services ([WeTransfer])
Video platforms used to embed my work ([e.g. Vimeo / YouTube]). These may set their own cookies when you play a video.
Payment and accounting providers ([wise/swiss finance])
Authorities, where I am legally required to
Some of these providers may be located outside your country, including outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA. Where that happens, I rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. Photos, videos and portfolio use
Images and footage of identifiable people are personal data.
I only show a client's or subject's photos or videos in my portfolio, website or social media with their consent, usually through a written agreement or model release.
If you appear in my portfolio and want an image or clip removed, contact me and I will take it down promptly.
Unless agreed otherwise, I retain copyright in my work. Your privacy rights described here are separate from copyright.
6. How long I keep your data
Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to [12] months
Client project files, contracts and communications: for [X] years after the project, to allow re-delivery and to meet legal obligations
Invoices and accounting records: as long as the law requires ([e.g. 10 years in Switzerland])
Website analytics data: [12] months
After this, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data I hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Restrict or object to certain processing
Receive your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect past processing)
To use any of these rights, email me at [your email]. If you are unhappy with my response, you can complain to your local data protection authority (for example, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland, or the authority in your EU country).
8. Security
I take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data, such as password-protected galleries, secure hosting and limited access. No system is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.
